Setting Boundaries at Home & at Work: The Art of Self-Advocacy

- Details: Join us for our November event at Modern Porcelain Works with guest speaker, Ellen Melon! Boundaries are not about saying no to other people, they are saying yes to yourself. Boundaries are not selfish; they are asking for what you need. But why are they so hard for us to set and stick to? In this educational class, you’ll learn about why we fail at setting boundaries and how to set boundaries that make you a happier person. This is a 90-minute workshop that will contain a centering practice (with instructed breathing) and time at the end for Q&A.
- Speaker Bio: Sex & Relationship Coach and Un-Educator Ellen Melon works with anxious-attached, judgmental, people-pleasing women, so that they can develop greater self-awareness and remember their worth. Trained using the Somatica Institute method, and a member of Al-Anon, Ellen helps clients learn how to become embodied, cultivate authenticity, and bravely ask for what they want by unlearning social constructs and childhood patterns.

- Q4 Non-Profit – Emma Norton: For the fourth quarter of 2023, WINC will be donating a portion of your event registration fees to Emma Norton. To give more, click the button below. Emma Norton Services provides transformational housing and growth for women and families on their journey of recovery. As a trauma-informed organization, Emma Norton promotes healing and recovery, operating at a scale that brings a full array of resources to women, individuals, and families who have experienced homelessness. We can house and heal more people thanks to generous community support.

First Annual Showroom Shimmy!
July 1 – 31
- When: Times Vary by Showroom
- Where: 49 Gorgeous Showrooms
- Cost: FREE!

How It Works:
1. Print your Showroom Shimmy Passport (download below).
2. Use our Showroom Shimmy Google map for easy navigation (view map below).
3. Visit 10+ showrooms listed in your passport during the month of July (sans July 3rd & 4th). Hours are listed beside each showroom.
4. Collect initials, stamps, or punches at every showroom you visit.
5. Take a pic or scan your completed passport. Send to Dian Mullis at dian@proconcretecountertops.com by 10pm on Friday, August 4th. Late passports will not be accepted. -
Drawing Details:
• Each passport with 10+ signed-off showrooms equals one (1) entry.
• Donate $25+ to our Q3 non-profit, Haven House to receive another entry. Send a screenshot of your receipt with your passport. Donate below or via the QR code in your passport.
• Five (5) random entries will be drawn for five (5) $250 gift cards!
