How it Works

Selected showrooms across the Twin Cities will each be putting on an event—and an awesome one at that! During the last four Wednesdays in July, three or four showrooms will put on four mini WINC events each Wednesday. Each showroom will have a designated 2-hour time slot.

Our Goal

Our goal with this event is to promote our members’ showrooms in a fun, memorable way. People come to WINC events because they can hang out with friends, eat awesome food, learn interesting content, be entertained, win stuff, promote their business, etc. We want the Showroom Shimmy experience to be as FUN as a WINC event while visiting showrooms around the Metro.

FAQs

How much does it cost?

Each event is $10 when you register in advance on Eventbrite. You can also register at the door for $15. WINC will be donating a portion of your event registration fee to our Q3 non-profit, Breakthrough Twin Cities.

How do I learn more about each event?

What is the Showroom Shimmy schedule?

The Shimmy will be happening these four Wednesdays: July 8, 15, 22, & 29. Each Wednesday, three or four showrooms will put on an event during their 2-hour time slot. View the Event Guide above for the complete schedule. The schedule is subject to change, so check back here for the official details.

Who can attend the Shimmy?

Anyone! That includes WINC members and non-WINC members.

Do I need to register for each event? If so, where?

Yes. Click here to register on Eventbrite. Each event requires registration so the showrooms know how many attendees to plan for. Walk-ins can register at the door for $15 if there is still availability.

Is there a maximum capacity for each event?

Yes! Eventbrite will show when available tickets are getting low, so register as soon as possible to guarantee your spot!

WINC's Q3 Non-Profit

Meet Breakthrough Twin Cities

WINC will be donating a portion of your registration fee to our Q3 non-profit, Breakthrough Twin Cities. To give more, click the link.

Breakthrough Twin Cities provides a six-year college access program to support historically marginalized students and their families in the Twin Cities. In middle school, we provide academic enrichment programming during the summer, in which college and high-school students serve as Teaching Fellows and inspire students to grow and reach their goals. Our high school program helps students navigate school, the rigors of college preparation, and other challenges as they grow and develop. All students attend monthly Saturday sessions during the school year.
